We've looked at leaving before


When the SEC was talking to A&M, there were discussions between OU and them about being their 14th school, but it didn't get very far as they weren't at all interested in letting us bring OSU along. And about a year after the proposed PAC-16 idea collapsed (thanks to the longhorn network), there were discussions between the PAC and OU, but at the time they weren't interested in OSU, either. Hopefully the landscape will have changed enough in the next few years that someone will be willing to let us bring little brother along, otherwise we may never leave the Big 12. If President Boren has made one thing clear (ever the politician), it's that he won't let the pokes whither and die on the vine. The only realignment scenario that scares me is if we're so committed to taking care of OSU (as they can't seem to warrant any discussion on their own merits) that we allow our own program to languish away in some crap conference as a result.
